She will lay her eggs on the inner side of a wet container, on top of standing or stagnant water, or in moist soil. She can lay up to 300 eggs over a 2 week period. She will lay eggs every 3 days, up to 100 eggs per batch.

These eggs will hatch anywhere between several days to months. The eggs need to be covered in water to hatch and will emerge within a week to start the cycle again with a new generation of mosquitoes.

Male mosquitoes live up to a week and feed on nectar instead of blood. Females can survive just under 6 months, if conditions are ideal, but on average survive less than 2 months.
